Why WeldRite

Feedback that actually makes you better.

Not another simulation game. WeldRite is built for real torches, real arc, and real progress β€” whether you’re just starting out or sharpening pro-level skills.

🎯

Real-time coaching

See live metrics for torch angle, travel speed, and arc distance as you weld β€” so you can correct technique on the fly instead of discovering mistakes at the end of the bead.

Instant Feedback

Session analytics

Every pass is scored and logged. Track consistency, improvement over time, and how changes in technique impact your results β€” like a training log for your welds.

AI-powered insights

WeldRite doesn’t just say β€œgood” or β€œbad.” It explains why β€” highlighting common patterns and suggesting concrete adjustments to try in your next pass.

Smart Suggestions
How it works

Clip it on. Strike arc. Improve.

WeldRite combines a compact sensor module, a mobile/desktop app, and AI analysis to give you a coach that never gets tired.

1
Attach the WeldRite sensor to your torch
Clamp the sensor module to your MIG or TIG torch. It tracks orientation, travel, and distance without getting in your way.
2
Weld normally β€” we capture the data
Strike arc and run your bead. WeldRite records torch motion and weld parameters in real time while you focus on the puddle.
3
Review technique & follow guided drills
After each pass, review your angle, speed, and stability metrics β€” and run targeted drills designed to fix specific weaknesses.
4
Watch your scores β€” and your welds β€” improve
Compare runs, see trends over weeks of practice, and measure skill progression. WeldRite turns β€œseat time” into measurable results.
Realtime Feedback Loop

From torch motion to coaching in a few milliseconds.

WeldRite turns raw motion into actionable feedback. This simple loop runs every time you strike an arc: sense β†’ analyze β†’ coach β†’ improve.

1

Sensor follows your torch.

An onboard IMU tracks angle and motion while distance sensing monitors contact-tip-to-work spacing β€” all without changing your normal grip.

2

Data streams into the WeldRite engine.

Each tiny motion is timestamped, filtered, and compared to ideal envelopes for the drill you’re running β€” fillets, butt joints, lap joints and more.

3

AI turns it into coaching cues.

WeldRite highlights specific patterns – too slow at the start, shallow angle in the middle, inconsistent arc length at the end – and turns them into simple, clear next steps.

See your technique update in real time.

While you run a bead, WeldRite tracks your torch motion and turns it into clear, easy-to-read cues β€” no pausing, no menus, just live feedback.

Who it’s for

From first beads to pro-level practice.

WeldRite is designed for welders who want more than β€œthat felt okay.” Whether you’re learning, teaching, or running production, better feedback makes better welds.

Hobby welders

Learn faster in your own shop. Make each practice session count with drills and scores that show exactly where you’re improving.

Fabricators

Keep your technique sharp between jobs. Use WeldRite to quickly dial in processes when switching materials or joint types.

Trade students

Pair instructor feedback with objective data. Get extra β€œeyes” on your work when your teacher can’t be at every booth.

Schools & makerspaces

Add modern analytics to your welding program without buying a full VR simulator booth. More data, less cost, real-world arc.

Under the hood

Built like a tool, designed like an instrument.

WeldRite is not a toy. It’s a shop-ready sensor and software stack designed to live in real welding environments β€” heat, spatter, dust and all.

Rugged sensor module

Sealed housing, replaceable clamp hardware, and firmware tuned for shop vibration and electromagnetic noise β€” so your readings stay stable when the work gets real.

  • 6-axis IMU for angle and motion
  • High-rate sampling for smooth traces
  • Designed to mount on common MIG torches

Low-latency data pipeline

Sensor data streams via wireless link into the WeldRite engine running on your phone, tablet, or laptop. Batching and smoothing keep feedback steady without feeling laggy.

  • Sub-50ms end-to-end loop target
  • Adaptive filtering to remove jitters
  • Designed for offline-friendly sessions

Technique model library

Different joints, positions, and materials demand different motion envelopes. WeldRite ships with presets and will grow with a library of β€œgood passes” from real welders.

  • Drill presets for common joints
  • Session templates for practice blocks
  • Room to add custom shop profiles

Analytics you can grow with

Start with simple scores; grow into deeper analytics. Over time, WeldRite becomes a history of your skill development β€” and a way to prove your process in the shop.

  • Per-session and per-drill scoring
  • Trend lines over weeks and months
  • Exportable summaries for records

Is this a VR simulator?
No β€” WeldRite is built for real welding with your existing gear. Our sensor module attaches to your torch and works alongside your current setup, tracking technique while you weld normally.
Which processes will be supported?
The first hardware prototype is focused on MIG (GMAW). We plan to expand to TIG and other processes as we validate sensor performance and real-world use cases with early users.
What do I need to use it?
A compatible MIG torch, a mobile device or laptop for the WeldRite app, and a Wi-Fi or Bluetooth connection to the sensor module.
How can I influence the product?
Early access users will get direct feedback channels to the team. We’ll be talking with you about what’s working, what’s not, and which features to prioritize for both hobbyists and professional shops.
